Bont is widely considered to be the greatest ever Bulldog, and rightly so. How is it that he cannot adequately deal with the close attention from a Gaelic football scrubber for multiple games in a row now against this mob? Furthermore, how can he not stamp his total authority in games against Hawthorn, but an opposition midfielder who was taken as a mid-season Hail Mary selection has been able to completely dominate the course of the last 4 matches against us?

Yes, our bottom 6 were truly terrible last night, but our millionaire playmakers (led by our captain) did nothing to impose their will on the game last night, and especially early in the piece. That it was left to a 2nd year kid Freijah, to be proactive and daring and generate run and dare for us in the 2nd half to at least challenge the Hawthorn mids and put their defence under some more pressure, reflects poorly on the rest of our senior group.

If we start well, then the Hawks may have to match the extra at the stop and lose the sweeper.
If and that is a big IF - we were good enough we would have won and with only 16 points in it we had the opportunity - we just couldn't do it for many reasons.

Not sure where you got this from Sedat. From what I understand, it's all Ryan Gardner's fault.
