Sydney were ripped off with only 30% more free kicks than us.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Yes I forgot about the 5 day break

Time to look at the positives
          1 we won
2 our mid range players stood up .
Bramble won it for us .
3 Sanders , Freijah and even Hynes really put in when our Champs were down .
4 Darcy and Naughton kicking 3 each.
5 Freijahs coming out game ?
          Bring back the biff

I thought that was a great win. That's a win good sides get. It wasn't pretty at times, but it was clear we weren't going to roll. The theme so far for the Dogs is kind of like 'we might bend but we don't break'.
I don't subscribe to the they lost it we didn't win it. That's just curmudgeonly and frankly an entitled expectation. Sydney absolutely gave it everything. They might be down on the ladder, but they're not a bad side, and they showed that tonight.

Sydney really bring out the best in us. This will help build confidence in our guys no doubt.

Sounds like it might be Jeemaks too. (not that there's anything wrong with that )

That was the toughest game I have ever watched. 76 years old, and I cannot ever remember feeling so emotionally exhausted - yet so elated - after a home and away game. I kept saying to my wife: "This game is killing me!"
The tension went off the scale in the last quarter and it increased as the minutes went by.

What a victory! So much on the line. A win for the ages. Self belief builder. They threw everything at us but we answered every challenge. So proud of this team. GO DOGS!

Before the game if you said:

                  Libba 21 touches
                  Bont 18 touches
                  Richards 16 touches

You would not think a win was possible.

Win ugly. It’s a good sign.

Our exit out the back at times was heart attack football.

Rest and let’s roll on to next week.

I haven't been too emotional during games in recent years... it's been a conscious change. But I was surprised at how on edge I was as the game wore on, as were my wife and son who were watching the game with me.. I got a couple of 'calm your farm Dad'

Literally read the How to Beat the Bulldogs playbook, quelled most of our best players for all or most of the game, but still didn't get over us because our system (credit to Nathan Buckley for mentioning it) held up, even if moving it forward we struggled at times.

Great coaching and team performance. To have all of Richards, Darcy, English, Bont and a few others done after quarter to half way through the second and still win means we are tuned.

Bloody hell. Not good . Some reputations trashed tonight. JJ, Vandermeer and McNeil in particular tried every last ounce of patience and goodwill I have. Heading to the Macallan.

Joel Freijah's last goal was outrageous, given he chose to run straight ahead instead of towards goal, and turned the ball to snap it. Outrageous.

Relying on a second year pick 45 to get us over the line....
