Poulter played well but still got unluckily subbed out, so I think it will be out of him and VDM to make way for Harmes.

Everyone else played well enough, as you would expect in an 80 point win.

Our back half drive seems better with another tall in the back half and also allows us to ruck a defender so I’d keep the mix the same there.

VDM after being sub twice in the row probably needs to show he can get through a full game, but I’m not proposing to change the 22 either.

If Harmes or Davidson beat down the door one of them to come in as sub, otherwise unchanged.

Felt bad for VDM last night, he came on and obviously tried to do too much to force his way into the game and had an absolute stinker. The run in the 2s did McNeil & Cleary well. Time for him to have a run there I think and try and regain some of his early season form.

Depending on how today goes but we IMO we still need to get back to our best side and use these 3 weeks to get absolutely primed for when it counts. Davo especially, and Harmes are super important to the make up of our best side I think.

It’s very harsh on Baker as he played well but nothing against him I just think Davo & Harmes are better on the wing. Williams just has to play wing too he’s a stud there, let’s settle the wings with our best options - Williams, Harmes & Davo rotating. Baker has probably been our best sub too and is really good at the role and can have an impact there.

Harmes, in spite of his many personal flaws, is a best 18 player and we need him back in, and Poulter cooking for 40 minutes isn’t tricking me so I would make that change and no others.

JJ mentioned on Wednesday the team had been working on their defence without altering too much but just tweaking it a bit . It really showed last night with only 6 goals scored by GWS and more importantly only 18 inside 50s in each half.

I can't agree less, Busslinger may be the better in the long run but Treacy, Amiss and co would torch him in the crucial round 24. See how Jones goes in the VFL .

I've expressed it before.
He was subbed out (injured) in 3 away games against interstate team when we were losing (Fremantle, Gold Coast, Brisbane) only to be fit enough to play the next week.
To me the MC is taking a harder stance with him.

I don’t know who is “better” currently but I don’t think there is a material difference based on exposed form over the last little period so I’m comfortable to leave the current guy in and make the other guy kick in the door.

Jonesy is all but done and his vfl form, including this afternoon, reiterates it. Only chance would be through injury. His judgement and decision making are way off what they were 12 months ago. I think Doc may be in the same boat.
I would leave the side unchanged.
