Wonder if Marra and me are seeing the same movies at MIFF. Reckon he likes Kiyoshi Kurosawa?
I went last night to see First Light invited by my daughters Partner who was part of the Production team. Great night with the director and actors on stage to talk about it.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan hasn’t played a competitive game of footy in nearly 12 months, but that won’t change in a hurry as a Western Bulldogs assistant coach says he’s a long way off VFL footy.
Western Bulldogs assistant coach Brendon Lade says Jamarra Ugle-Hagan would be “lucky to get a game” in the VFL before the end of the season.
Lade said the troubled forward had set himself back “a couple more weeks” in his bid to return to football after missing training sessions over the last fortnight.
Ugle-Hagan, 23, has been open this year about his difficult mental health battle and Lade said he had been dealing with some family issues in recent days.
The former No. 1 pick is expected to pursue a trade at the end of the season and has been linked to Sydney.
His last game of competitive football was in last year’s elimination final loss against Hawthorn, and it is understood he has not attended a Western Bulldogs match this season.
“ (Ugle-Hagan) still rocks up (to training) … he’s had a few things going on with his family the last week or so – we haven’t seen him as much the last couple of weeks,” Lade told 3AW on Sunday.
“Prior to that though, he was at every session and really putting his name up to play in the VFL and hopefully get back to some good footy before the year’s end.
“But at the moment, he’s probably put himself back a couple more weeks, and the way the VFL (team) is playing at the moment, he might be lucky to get a game.”
Footscray beat Box Hill by 19 points on Saturday to trail the Hawks at the top of the ladder only by percentage, and secured a crucial top-two finish with one round remaining.
Really?
Not sure this was the smartest thing that has come out of Lade's mouth in a public forum... hopefully he's been advised to stay in his ****ing lane... and yes, understand it is a frustrating situation, but talking down his brand isn't the club's job.

Not exactly what you want JUH reading or hearing .
or maybe that he knows that hes gone at the end of the season?
I don't think he would be talking down a potential trade option, if that is the case. Surely, we learnt our lesson with Jake Stringer.
Or maybe he is just growing tired of the promises to turn over a new leaf and put together a solid block of training. I was once advised that, "when the words and actions differ, believe the actions".

Did you think film was a good one?

Our day will come
And we'll have everything.
We'll share the joy
Just like '54 again.
Sounds like Jamarra is closer to going on love island or announcing his going to have an boxing fight before he plays another game of footy. Very frustrating for us, wish him well ofcourse but hopefully we don’t have to pay a cent for him next year
Lade shouldn't have gone into the level of detail he did.
I find it hard not to be over the all the Marra will he or won't he commit to us soap opera but I don't know his circumstances and I wish him all the best.
It's becoming clear that the ones that do know him (coaches etc) are frustrated by his commitment levels. A real shame and missed opportunities for everyone.
We have been patient with him but maybe we now see that it isn't working.
