Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
Vastly worse, the contract in place means that he is theirs. It might not be as compassionate as some would prefer but Melbourne certainly has the right to hold him to the deal.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Anyone want to buy a Bailey Smith signed Good Friday match worn Jumper?!*♂️ Might be worth more now that both have been taken from us and given to “bigger clubs”.Comment

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
Wish him well wherever he goes. It is his career and may be the best move for him.
We need invested players at the Dogs. Players who can see how the club works well for them.
Not too worried about the compensation. Hawthorn only got pick 19 for Buddy and then went on to win three premierships.
I will have the the premierships that invested players bring you.Comment

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
Jon Ralph says we won’t be interested in a single pick as it’s likely around 20. Will demand a lot more. But could have an open mind to adding a player into the trade.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
We were too homogenous in our CBA mix last year, granted, but it's not like we asked him to play a drastically different role to when he was getting BOGs in finals and averaging 35 touches the following season until the above said issues.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
We supported him through snorting drugs, headbutting, his ACL what else does he want. I will tell you, he wants Bonts job but he is not as good, he loves himself and is selfish. TEAM first should be his motto, not Smith first.
Dead to me, **** him.FFC: Established 1883

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
Yeah we need to get other club/s involved and you'd think Sam Power would have known all season what was the most likely scenario with Baz, and as much as Mackie can be a pain in the ass to deal with, let's hope they can work out a deal which can help all parties involved, is it pick 21 and Peatling? pick 21 and O'Driscoll? with shuffles of picks.Comment

All I was saying was have we tried every angle as he is now what we are trying to replace and will be difficult.

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
I’d still rather the first and F1 for F2. Look at draft point trades to get up the order a bit and use them for player trades. I’d rather hold onto three firsts and a heap of cap space then get too complicated. If we bring in other teams Geelong can also try to pressure us by slow walking the trade too. I’d try to isolate this negotiation and pressure Geelong & Bsileys manager with the PSD. I do not trust dealing with Geelong. If they want to add a player of value in of theirs we should listen, but two firsts should be our position with giving a F2 or later back. I think this is a final day trade.Comment
