I mentioned it in another thread, but Lobb is just incredible. He is like 3 players in one .

    KPD + interceptor + hardness
    TOG 100% endurance
    Relief ruck.

Having all these 3 traits and doing them well, is no mean feat for someone his size.

Gardner, Buku, Busslinger can't do what he does.

I am soo glad his with us this year and found his best footy at FB.

His such a heart and soul player for us.
I hope he can get an AA this year.

One of my core footy beliefs is there’s nothing worse you can do for your reputation than be a tall forward who’s pretty good. I think Lobby might’ve been the latest victim of this. Anyway he’s a mad dog and my unironic favourite player and also don’t check my post history.

He's the opposite of what we were sold in some ways.

His reputation of being flakey, soft, and selfish are so very far from reality. He's an absolute workhorse, team first, and hard as absolute nails.

Massive respect for what he does and how he's handled the last few years.

I think that both realities are true.

He was pretty flaky and inconsistent at the Giants and Freo - he's really turned that around with us since going into defence.

It seems like a case of a player getting into an environment where he feels appreciated and finding a position on the ground that reflects his strengths. Massive kudos to the player for making it happen and our staff for creating an environment that brings out his best.

Just wanted to call that out.
              You're 100% right.
I thi k i referenced this somewhere here that Lobb's performances and insights from interviews has changed my whole perception about him.

After the 2016 preliminary final outside of being completely ecstatic, I was thinking Rory Lobb is the next big thing. He is so talented, almost freakishly talented (if Buddy is the top layer, Rory is the next).

I couldn't be happier he found his way to us, and we now know how to bring out his best. If he had have moved to a club without our forward structure he'd be a fifty goal forward. But we are what we are and we're just one piece of the puzzle away from having amazing KPF structure instead of two.
                TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
