Are we thinking about a medium term replacement for Dicko & Crameri with Hayward? (If he ends up 188-189cm)

Just a forward who can kick straight would be good.
Although we improved our kicking and goalkicking at exactly the right time of the season. That was almost the most obvious thing we improved in our finals matches compared to our H&A games, we lowered our eyes kicking into the forward 50 and hit targets instead of bombing long to opposition defenders and as a result our set shots from marks inside 50 were far easier to convert.
Apart from our attack on the ball I think that's what threw West Coast the most in the EF. They set up and were expecting us to kick long into the forward line but we hold onto the ball, bought it through the middle at every opportunity and kicked it to moving forwards. They though we'd stop start, go sideways and then try and kick it long to the goal square after getting caught wide. To be fair that was our gameplan for large parts of a lot of games.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
Re: Phantom Draft & Expert Predictions on Dogs Pick
Cal Twomey and Michael Ablett conducted a top 30 mock draft on the AFL podcast yesterday. Intersting listening with both parties pretty well connected to what clubs are thinking. From our first pick onwards, they went for:
19 - Bulldogs; Todd Marshall
20 - Sydney; Jordan Gallucci
21 - Essendon; Sam Powell Pepper
22 - Brisbane; Daniel Venables
23 - Brisbane; Brennan Cox
24 - St Kilda; Shai Bolton
25 - Geelong; Cedric Cox
26 - Carlton; Patrick Kerr
27 - GWS; Isaac Cunningham (Bulldogs bid matched)
28 - Bulldogs; Jordan Ridley
29 - Richmond; Koby Mutch (GWS don't match bid)
30 - Collingwood; Sam Walker
This would be close to an optimum realistic result in my opinion.
Re: Phantom Draft & Expert Predictions on Dogs Pick
Some have us taking Long at 50. They'd all need time and patience, but that'd be a draft result for the medium term future. Looking at our list, I'm happy enough to take some kids for an investment for the future.
The question is then how do we acquire a ruck, be it pick 75 or the rookie draft?

I don't think we need to replace like for like in any position really, we tend to play best available (within reason) and adjust the gameplan as required.
If Hayward is drafted by us and is best 22, he plays regardless of who he is replacing.

Was thinking along the lines of the list management and balance of it generally, and if we in that scenario are thinking we need someone to draft now and develop to cover them if they retired or significantly slowed in the years ahead. But yep, Bevo plays on form and not reputation.

Excellent insight. Here is the link to the audio (couldn't find the way to embed the audio into the post):

Quayle's is traditionally on the Wednesday before the draft isn't it? (Tomorrow)

Generally - she knows far less about draftee rankings than appearances suggest but she gets better rumours than almost anyone else.
Someone analysed the experts and amatuers over the past few years and found that Knightmare from BigFooty has a better record with correct selections than anyone else.

I thought she only started doing phantom drafts over the last couple of years? She has always done HER top 30 in order, not a phantom draft as such.
