Honestly if our rucks are competitive and our midfielders are accountable our KPD will be fine.

      Big IF though.

All and all im pretty happy for now as we managed to add a number of players.
We really only missed out on one selection in the 20’s or 30’s.
So my chicken little world this year the sky didn’t actually fall.

King Brothers are 202cm, Sorry meant to write Hipwood 204cm, in any case Crows guy is 198cm

I am just highlighting the tall forwards out there and we try and make do with Keath who should be more suited to intercept.

Are you happy with using Gardner and Keath on these guys (both 197cm)

I know height isn't everything, you have to know how to defend, but late in a game, these talls don't get any shorter. Too many times I have seen talls destroy us over the years.

I don't think Keath is intercept for us I have no idea why that keeps being raised.
He plays on the talls and is very good at it.

Gardner should've played in the GF. He's the number 2 now.

Darcy will be that intercept player hopefully in a couple of years.

I don't know why we didn't get Tarrant but who knows if we tried and he said no.

I think for now we will be fine. Gardner is improving all the time, hopefully his shoulders stand up to the riggers of footy. He is rarely beaten one on one. He has only played 21 games.

Yep, I picked that up in the podcast straight away. He seems like a genuine, hidden away smokey but we jumped at the right time to ensure we got him. It fills the cockles of my heart hearing that both Collingwood and Essendon were into him, but especially that Essendon were into him (who I hate the most by some distance).

Collingwood, on the other hand, may have got served a bit of draft karma. They obviously had a dodgy handshake deal with GWS to not bid on Daicos and it essentially netted them one of those extra picks in the 40's- that a player they wanted got snatched momentarily before feels right.

                  Happy with the Darcy pick.

Very happy with the Jones pick.

Pleased with McComb getting his chance and further cementing Footscray as a potent pathway.

Ambivalent on Cleary, Parker and Raak. All tweeners.

Disappointed we did nothing about our ruck depth.

7/10 draft for mine as an immediate reaction (which will obviously be shown up as wrong by middle of next year but what can you do).
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

I like that you at least put yourself out there! I think I agree with pretty much everything you say, aside maybe feeling like Parker might be the surprise packet of the lot. He is green really, but he has the right combination of speed, skills, size and mature body about him.

I think he is some extra conditioning and developed game sense away from being a real weapon.

On a tangent, what are Footscray paying for the flag? Gonna likely be right amongst it again.

Mid sizers trouble us more than tall defenders

Fritsch, Zurhaar types. I expect Cam Raynor to be a beast soon too

How is Fritsch good can any explain that to me. He's so soft as wiry, God imagine Kretiuk on him.

                        Footy has move passed me.

One captain at the start of the year thought he was a brownlow smoky and he is one of the more naturally talented blokes going around. He can do it all - in the air, one the ground, around the corner.

I love Kretta but Fritsch would have him well covered for pace and leap

I think his problem is he might have the most punchable head in footy. The combination of hair and permanent smug look do him no favours. He is a way better player than he looks like he should be.

I'll try and be rational, but surely you jest.

Not rated by anyone I know.

Goes the cheap shot, for some reason teams let him off the chain.

                              Slow, skinny.

Is he good on the ground?

Good lead up Mark and set shot but wow you've really surprised me with that appraisal. Contradicts everything I've heard from people in the know.

                              Complete in between player.

That aside I can't think of another player in the league like him and doubt he will replicate this season.
