Harry Sheezel (Sandringham) mid sized forward and AFL Academy hotshot. Touted as a first round pick in this year's national draft.

Hugo Hall-Kahan (Sandringham) leading mid sized forward kicked 5 last week. Eligible for the mid season draft.

Brayden George (Murray) strong marking mid forward also kicked 5 last week. Moving up the draft boards.

After continually watching our small makeshift forwards continually waste chances at both AFL & VFL level here is an update on some of the prospects.

NAB LEAGUE BOYS LADDER, ROUND 5

    LEADING GOALKICKERS

    17: Brayden George (Mur) 6
    13: Harry Sheezel (San) 6
    11: Hugo Hall-Kahan (San) 4
    11. Seth Campbell (TAS)

Another to add to the list to keep an eye on is Jacob Bauer from North Adelaide who is currently 2nd in the Sanfl seniors with 13 goals from 3 games. He is a 19yo 191cm forward.

Jye Menzie is in 5th on the leaderboard in the SANFL.

Also rising up the draft leaderboards is Tom Scully a key forward at West Adelaide. He has kicked 33 in 6 games in the u/18s.

Another small forward impressing is highly rated Tassie Devil Seth Campbell with 6 yesterday and now 11 for the season.

    We need finishers!

Kim Kantilla from Tiwi Islands playing for South Adelaide. Like the 2nd goal.

What do Carlton know that we don't with these 2 players ?

Is Hayes playing to his strength in one position , so much so that he can average 31 possessions in the VFL this year ?

I wonder what is so different this time for him.

Happy for him that he gets another opportunity.

Hayes is a good runner and accumulator who can't kick well, so not the person you want winning that much ball
But for a side needing someone to cover distance, he could fill a role
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Vic Metro vs WA was a pretty good standard today.

Jefferson kicked 7 straight and could possibly be around at our pick. 195cm, competes well and athletic. Models his game on Naughton and has some similar traits.

I actually know some relatives of his but he's not the type I would be hoping for after picking up JUH and Darcy the past two drafts.

He's a quality player and he got some pace. I wouldn't rule him out just because we have JUH and Darcy. He might still be around later in the draft.

I know there's a long way to go but some are projecting him from the second half of the first round. I know we may well start with a pick in that range but I'm not sure we will still have it after trade week if some of the mooted trades eventuate.

I would prefer a KPD or mid if we do have a first round pick.
