Oh I’m in. He’s our 2016 Easton Wood replacement.

He's had some impressive results this season as well.

Worrell just re-signed, and MaxMc is ridiculously good in his first season.

They'll surely try their best to keep him but if adequately compensated in whatever that looks like they probably won't lose sleep over it.

Not sure this is the right thread? Any talk of Pre Free agents? Are we better off trading English to West Coast at the end of this season given that we will probably get less if he wants to go at the end of 2024? Pick 1 in play?

As a club we've really struggled to recruit, develop and even trade for ruckman outside of Tim English so it would be a shame to lose him especially as he has just started to really hit his straps this year.
Based on that as enticing as it might be to get an early pick I'd be very reluctant to let him go.

We should only consider that if we thought we were little chance of retaining Tim at the end of 2024. A Dunkley like scenario. Thus far there is no indication English is looking at leaving. He could also help us win a flag in 2024, it's not the right time to take a step backwards unless something significant changes. Our efforts are more likely to be focused on re-signing Tim this off season.

Am I the only one that thinks we'll re-sign English and Naughton without any real fuss or drama?

We don’t get much choice if he wants to to leave. Having zero rucks would be like most our losing finals lately anyway.

When is it an offer to good to refuse?
Not saying we should promote it but we should be open to offers

Dunkley wasn’t leaving either and he went for unders.

To me it comes down to how we view the playing list. If we are going to shop Tim around would we consider a complete rebuild?

Pick 1 & a swap of later firsts. Won’t happen. Freo for Darcy if both demanded trades.

Personally I’m open to all trades, like Dennis Pagan. Who said he’d trade Carey for 5 x Top 10 Picks.

I’d trade Naughton first on a trade too good to refuse before English. Buts it’s moot I think, as I think they both stay.
