Honestly I was surprised we are talking one pick.

I've got some on X saying it's Bianco.
Whats your thoughts on that? I don't mind him as a player but I don't see what spot he fills for us.

Mathieson is a seriously huge unit now. Looks like he has been eating roids for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

                Hff - > MF.

He's a good kick and decent clearance player. I'd say Macrae ish spot.

It could be a few reasons.
We don't rate the players available from our pick is that highly
Why invest time and resources in developing players we don't rate
Perhaps even some salary cap and moving cost implications

Jod was supposed to hold down CHB preseason. That?s hype. He?s form is very iffy.
JOD has only played around 20 games of senior football (both 1sts and 2nds). He was never going to play CHB this year. He is still learning how to defend. Ask anyone inside the club and he is well ahead of where they expected him to be. Expect to him to be elite by the time he gets to 50 - 100 games.

I think it’s Bianco as well. It’s not so much what spot he fills (given we can’t predict injuries) but watching him in all games this year playing VFL, I see him as a better footballer than Jones, McNeil, Clarke and Bedendo. Probably even a better player than Baker.
He therefore adds better ‘depth’. If it’s only for 6 mths then all the better.
Having said all the above, I think Cooper Craig Peters is a better performer than Bianco, but his height just discounts him.
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.

Then the club has lost its mind. We are not contending. And our recruiters are drafting good kids. Kids which are out future. I?d be beyond disappointed in the list management team if we did this. Dumb, dumb, ****ing dumb.

If we can play like we did last Thursday on a consistent basis we will be contending at the end of the year. There's a lot of frauds between us and Sydney.

Even if I granted that. We have played very well the last two weeks. But Bianco being the difference? Addressing a genuine list need? Giving the recruiters another shot at bringing in a good kid?

It makes absolutely zero sense to me.
