Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
I'd say both Callan and Everitt would be able to come in if needed, although with Williams coming back Everitt might be given another game at VFL level.
O'Keefe seems like someone who mentally would pick up the speed of senior level quickly - he really does appear to think a little ahead of almost everyone else in the VFL and his positioning & runninig is quite good.
I know there has been a rub on his fitness, but a few times today he gave solid chase to a player he couldn't catch, simply because he was putting them under pressure. That is an encouraging sign because that's what would be required at senior level.
As mentioned yet Cordy floated in & out of the game and had some highlights - even as a rake a couple solid efforts would put him in contention, as he works very hard on the HF line and a tall leading HF would be extremely beneficial in the seniors, especially if we could pinch hit him off the bench. I'd previously written off his 09 as a development year but every now and then he does something and you just have to wonder how the hell a 204cm guy moved like that.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

I wouldn't have thought so! As already said Cordy fades in and out of the game. Sure he shows spurts and moves well for big lad. IMO he needs to firstly grow into his frame and fill out, secondly needs to play solid 4 qts consistantly. He even said himself on the doggies website that he has struggled at senior level and is still getting used to playing against men and bigger bodies. The KID is only 18 and there is no reason to rush him into the side, he has plenty of time to develop. Will be a very important player for us in the future.Comment

Forgot one other minor thing, Reid had "Tenacity" written on the back of his arm.
FWIW the kid is scary enough to line up against without a reminder like that on him. He is an upside-down triangle, an absolute freak.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

He's unlucky we've got a quality midfield, he'd be getting games in most other clubs at the moment, but I would think it's only a matter of time before we begin trying to develop him at an AFL level.W00F!Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
Stack must be close. O'Keefe is doing as well as you can expect actually I think he and Ward are the only recent draftees that have never played a reserves game.
Boumann needs time (but is developing nicely) as do Cordy and Roughead. Wood has slowed a bit over the last 2 weeks and might be a bit lucky to hold his spot in the seniors. O'Shea is on the LT injury list.
Grant and Reid have played one game of senior football. Lynch might have played a couple.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Thank you very much for all the reports as usual. Had a brief read this morning.
GVGjr, Comrade and others, where do you see Stack? Does he need to pull his finger out to survive the cut? He seems to be floating at the moment, and not really making much ground.Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
For me these are the positives:
The talent is there and so is the ethic.
Based on a couple of discussions he is very focused on being a league footballer.
He has plenty of untapped ability so in other words he isn't just clogging the list.
Athletically he offers us a point of difference with so many others on the list.
The challenge for him is to minimise skill end decision errors. On the weekend whilst he was up forward when he got the ball regardless of who was around him he didn't seem to be able utilise anyone else even if they were in a better position. I believe he was just too focused on kicking goals even when he was under a heap of pressure and had better options.
When he was moved to defence he was a vastly different player and his run and carry looked great.
I'd leave him in defence as a HBF or try him on a wing and just give him an extended run at playing good football. If an opportunity for a game in the seniors presents itself then good luck to him. I'm not 100% convinced he will make it but I'd be patient with him.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: Williamstown vs North Ballarat
IMO there is still a question mark over his disposal at times! But jeez he knows how to get the footy with his don't argue style and can run.Comment
