    Re: Lachlan Hunter?

I was referring to the 'Jack Darling" sting by WCE. Still amazed by it.

Heard they are playing him forward as he is battling a little bit of OP. Hopefully it's not too bad.

He's been ready struggling with it, at this stage he may miss the draft combine .

Yeah, I've heard it's pretty bad. I've also heard he isnt attacking his rehab well and has been hitting the turps pretty hard most weeks. A big risk.

            JGS- the OP is genuine.

Lachlan was just named in the TAC team on a half forward flank, not sure how long he has had the OP but that's a good effort and must have talent.

You train for skill, you draft for attitude. Doubt very much he fits the mold of the type of person the Dogs, or the coach in particular, want or need. I'm confident that we can find at least one player out there with equal ability but a better attitude when the option to take him comes, if these reports are true.
If he wasn't a father-son prospect would we even consider him at all?

I think that's tongue in cheek Hoopsnake to make him
Look a bad prospect so we get him in a lower pick.

That is a very good point.

                        Re: Lachlan Hunter?

But he is so it is a moot point. If he made TAC cup team of the year he is in the top 30 under 18 players in Vic. If we get him late in the draft I would say that is a good speculative pick, Father son or not.

It doesn't work like that. Andrew Hooper was All-Australian, Morish Medalist and TAC team of the year twice.

The question you have to ask is does he have a skill set that can be transferred to AFL? In the limited amount I've seen of him, I don't think he does.

                              Re: Lachlan Hunter?

I think we'll take him if it's a later pick. I've been told by a couple of people who are a bit more Under 18 savvy than me that his value is about late 3 round - 4th although his stock rose a little late in the year.

I'll predict we net him with our 4th Rounder. I don't think we'll match a 2nd round bid.

When does the F/S bidding start?
