Without trying to be faceitious (Forgive the spelling), does GWS really gain that much here?

Mark Stevens is tweeting we're making a play for one of the 17 year olds, most likely Crouch.

"StevoHeraldSun: Dogs also right in mix for 17yo Crouch, rated closely behind O'Meara. Ward compo pick and maybe something else on table"
I don't know what the something else might be.

It's been fairly widely reported we've offered

It's been fairly widely reported we've offered the Ward compo pick plus pick 17 for a 17yo and pick 25

          I can't say I am a massive fan of getting pick 25.

What do you think about it SS?

GREATER Western Sydney is exploring ways to keep the country's most sought-after teenager, Western Australia's Jaeger O'Meara, for itself.

            Read more: http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/afl/...#ixzz1aO8ahZ9b

GWS has found a possible loophole that could allow it to trade the first selection in next week's mini-draft to one club, then do a separate deal with a third party to get it back, once it is traded on to that second club.

My hate for the AFL and GWS jumped tenfold when i really didn't think i could hate them anymore.
I am so disillusioned with afl right now, i really can't see myself following at all within 5yrs the way things are going.
My life is a very complicated drinking game.

              High risk.

Lots of players are highly rated a year out but don't kick on. Jay Shultz was the no 1 pick as a 16yo.

If they're that confident about Crouch I'm all for it. Pick 17, pick 25, whatever.

Don't know how many grains of salt are required, but a WB fan group on Facebook are suggesting a three way trade that sees Josh Hil > West Coast, Brad Ebert> Port, and Jacob Surjan>Dogs .

                A) Possible
                B) Load of bollocks

Not a snowflakes chance in hell.

The best we could expect for Hill would be pick 61 from West Coast and we probably wouldn't use it.

Well apparently Hill is going to WCE but I have no info on the return yet.

The Herald Sun are reporting that Port Adelaide are trying to get a third club involved in the Ebert trade, but they are speculating it might involve Ports pick 33.

I think Hill's got equal or more value than Surjan- a midget with poor skills who couldn't get a regular game in a shocking team. I'd prefer a pick in the 60's which is likely to land a player just as ordinary but with at least a chance of actually being a good AFL footballer. Surjan's only positive attribute is he's hard at it, and lord knows we have more than enough of them.

West Coast would reject this deal out of hand unless Port offered a second round pick too.

The AFL website is saying that Hill is likely to end up at Wce so you never know. McCartney would like Surjans attack at the footy.

As Greystache pointed we already have plenty of players who put there head over the ball. What we don't have is guys who can use the ball well, and Surjan doesn't help here.

Hey, I am not saying we should get him, all I am saying is that Surjan's attack at the footy would appeal to McCartney.
That said, we do not have small back pocket players who put their head over the ball.

                                We don't?

Picken played BP for much of this year... nah, he doesn't put his head over the ball. Other candidates include Wood & Schofield who are both courageous types.
