Re: 2015 Draft Watch
Fair enough. In my opinion, a specialist small forward is just really low on our list of priorities. If Dal and JMac really rate a Rioli or an Ah Chee, though, I guess they would add an interesting element to our mix.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
Any chance RHYS MATHIESON is available at our first two picks? Reminds me of little of Heppell of Essendon, a player I really admire. I'm hoping we continue the theme of the natural footballers and he certainly fits the bill, Fiorni also looks alikely type at this pick both look to have AFL attributbes for mine. Any idea how they tested at the camp?Comment

I'm not 100% sure what to make of him. He's a good size and mobile but I wonder how much better he could get.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
With the reallocation of the draft order I thought our picks 20/21 had fallen down a few notches to 23/24 so we don't have a top 20ick.They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

I wonder if it's because Key position players are deemed more valuable? But I also was surprised of her choice. I'm not a close watcher but she had a few surprises in there.More of an In Bruges guy?Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
Hopper looks to be an absolute beast I'm surprised that he hasn't got much attention. I'm guessing because he is an academy player and his fate is already determined. One things for sure Weitering Schache and Hopper look to be as good as any early prosepects in recent drafts.Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
His fate isn't really determined though. The way I understand it, if Carlton bid on him at 1, Sydney have to match it (less their discount), either way he'll be the #1 pick. It is true to say that the Academy Picks have been given less scrutiny than those in the 'open market' as their likely home seems more decided.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: 2015 Draft Watch
This is the problem with this system. Even if Carlton did rate Hopper number one and bid for him it will be matched and then open up a whole story line in the media that Weitering was at best the default number one pick. What club would want that? It would be a huge distraction and follow Weitering for the rest of his career. As it stands, he will be a huge good news story for the Blues and they badly need that.If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.
