Jerry's in Kensington does a fine burger, their shakes are excellent too.
Big fan of a new Thai Burger place in the CBD, Thaiger (you have to wait a bit longer though). They have a soft shell crab burger I'm keen to try at some stage as well.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Re: Best hamburger in Melbourne and beyond
Following on from Eastdog's thread about best the fish and chips in town I have decided to start one on the best hamburgers you have put down.
For mine you can't beat Andrew's in Albert Park, shop has been in the same family for ages and have stuck with a tried and true formula using real bacon, not that stuff that is sometimes passed off for bacon. 2 hands required for the one with the lot.
Out of town, undoubtedly the best burger can be found at Kermonds in Warrnambool, the old style with a bit of everything with the runny egg seeping onto everything else in the bun.

Re: Best hamburger in Melbourne and beyond
Kermies does do a nice burger, but it's all in the seasoning of the pattie. If they just used a decent bun, not the plain white generic crap, then it'd improve the burger overall.
It's not cheap, especially when you ask for a burger with cheese, beetroot, lettuce and onion - re-mortage the house - then proceed to receive the burger minus the lettuce and onion. I was the only one in the place and they somehow managed to stuff up the order.Comment

Pretty popular in the 70's and 80's but seemed to drop off when frozen cokes etc. came into mode. It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment

Spiders were (and still are) totally awesome! [Homer Simpson voice] "Mmmmmmmm, lime spider, hom, nom, nom, nom, nom"Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell
Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

Went to Grand Trailer Park Taverna the other week for a Birthday Burger...http://www.grandparktrailer.com.au
I had a burger which included a hash brown in it. Tasty burger with full flavor, downsides were that I thought the bun was a bit too big and tad dry. Chips were a let down also.
8-Bit still stands out as #1 for me.Comment
