One of my best mates lives directly across the road from the Steampacket. The liscencee wants to buy his house for a motza to knock it down to use as a carpark but the deal is his neighbour has to sell up as well but the neighbour isn't interested in selling.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Easty I went to the sporting pub at Knox today and thought of you. I had the Buffalo Parma. It was pretty good. Chips on the side because they are not savages.
Shame to see the Irish a derelict hovel. I mean it was a derelict hovel when it was open, but it had character. It was the people's derelict hovel.

The Sporting Globe. Yeah will have to give that a try sometime when I’m next down there.
The Irish wasn’t the greatest pub in the world but it certainly did have character.
Lots of stuff has shut down at Knox. The Maccas in the food court no longer there and Myer closing down in July.
