Re: What are you watching at the moment
I can't really decide if I like it or not. I know it's a show about the zombie apocalypse, so you've got to swallow a few things, but I'm having a really hard time getting past the inconsistencies the writers use for the sake of plot convenience.
And it really, really bugs me that the characters still do things that are so face palmingly idiotically stupid.
Despite all that, I regard myself as moderately hooked. Darryl is the best character by a mile, because he has had the most intersting arc/development.
It's getting to the point where you just want them to get the greater story moving a bit more rather than the moral dilemma's that keep occurring.
Like Game of Thrones the best part of the show is the fact that major characters can be written off suddenly and unexpectedly. After 5 seasons however there isn't too many of the main characters left so you kind of know what's going to happen. Especially when in ep 1 this season when they were lined up on the trough and the nobody characters were all first in line, you knew some development would surprisingly interrupt them before it was Glen's turn.
Daryl is good but everyone likes a strong female character, especially when they go from weakling to Ripley over journey (Beth is having her maturing experience in the hospital, and Carol is well on her way. Then there is Michonne. Nothing like a samurai sword wielding mysterious zombie killer. The scene where she got her sword back was gold!
So overall I think the show has really kicked on a notch from last. Was getting tired of them continuously dragging themselves around the Georgian bush. Needed some new locations and a return to a city environment.Comment

Tried watching Gotham and The Flash.
Ok but can't say I'm hooked. The Flash is straight out of the 'smallville' 'arrow' CW channel playbook. Never ending drama
that doesn't really go anywhere. Gotham is a bit the same, slightly darker but you get the feeling you would have to wait 10 seasons before you could see Bruce become Batman which is all you really want.Comment

Started watching "The Missing" on BBC Iplayer.
Two episodes have been screened to date and is another brilliant thriller from BBC. Basic story is couple go to France on holiday and they lose their son in a crowd. The father goes back after 8 years when some new clues are discovered. Flip flops between the 8 years.FFC: Established 1883

Is it based on Madeline McCann's dissapearence? Seems like both story's have a couple of things in common. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
My wife and oldest Pup wanted to watch it as well so I have waited until we get a chance to watch it together.
Although she has already snuck a peak and watched the first episode while I was out one night.
I will let you know what I thought when I have watched it.
On True Detective, I did enjoy watching the series but in my mind it dragged on a little at the end (as warned by Woofers) and could have wrapped up an episode or two earlier. It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment

Watched Draft Day last night just to get into the mood, enjoyable standard Costner flick, quite predictable and not really an insight to what goes on but OK for a Wednesday night. It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment
