I acquired ten episodes of The Bill from the mid '90s. That's What I will be watching over the next few days.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

There will probably be a few familiar faces in there!

A few so far. Plus an editing glitch where a frame from another scene dropped into a different scene.

          I'm loving Manhunt on Foxtel.

It's an ex-Navy Seal trying to evade different countries elite fully resourced army/police/anti-terrorism units, including helicopters, cars, bikes, specialist hunters, dogs, infrared etc, etc. He gets 36 hours on the ground after being dropped into a country to get to a designated point without capture. With no food, only a small amount of water, a knife and hatchet.

He just got through South Africa, last week caught in Poland just before evacuation. Just watching Joel take on Panama's elite anti terrorism squad through the jungle now. He just came across a downed drug smuggling plane and cut the head off a 2m python for dinner.

Go to recommend the above show again, just watched him take on US specialist forces in the Utah Desert. The drones of the modern army are dead set scary what they can do. What the host can do is pretty impressive too.

How real / realistic is it?

Very, but i thought wrestling was true when i was little too. Last week he killed a 2 metre python in South America and cooked it over fire in the middle of the night for protein to get enough energy to get to the destination. This week he was eating a cactus to get some energy. It's fascinating about tracking people by 'spores' through grass, dirt, trees etc, and this week with the USA drones was scary what they can see from 10km's away. Against the USA boys he laid some booby traps to test them which was kind of interesting too, but his anti-tracking techniques are excellent. It's like a cross between survivor and war games, i've not been interested in much since True Detective, but this is entertaining stuff.

I've eaten snake. It's a strange texture. Very watery.

                    Lots of little bones.

Man I love this show, a grown up show of hide and seek with guns.

The Phillipines this week, through the jungle and god it was awful. I was thinking of the Vietnam and Pacific Wars and the tracking and counter tracking and just surviving those conditions. I'm amazed at how good highly trained trackers are, it's just amazing how they can see from the environment such small little things to track a person, but also defuse bobby trap grenades and the like in tracking from km's and hours behind. Just as Joel thought he escaped the Philipino Rangers, they came out of nowhere and 'secured the high vale target' at gunpoint in a river during a typhoon. I'm not overly interested in TV, other than sport, but this is just awesome to watch for so many different things.

The American version of House Of Cards has finally clicked for me. Really enjoying Spacey's acting and the writing. I'm watching one ep of the US version and one of the UK version in that order.

How is series two going without a King, as per the UK version?

I loved the British version when it came out 25 years ago, but the US version to me is superior. Its more up to date and Spacey is fantastic in the role.

So far I'm only a few eps into S1 (watching both series simultaneously is starting to wear a bit thin) but I've seen all 3 British series. I'm really interested to see if series 2 diverts from the UK version. So far S1 has been pretty faithful.

Spacey is awesome. Every look, every nuance is spot on. I don't know if it's the difference between digital technology and plain old grainy film but Spacey's performance seems so much sharper than Ian Richardson's in the UK version. That's not to say there was anything wrong with Richardson's.
