Not now but in the next day or so I am going to dust off my DVD of "The Club" which in some way may give me a laugh at what we are going through now.

I watched it a month or so back. I'd forgotten how good Graham Kennedy was in that scene with Jack Thompson in the when they are talking about Laurie's first game. Kennedy displays a surisingly amount of empathy for a real football supporter. He gets it just right.

It was weird, towards the end, I could swear I was starting to understand Danish! Whole slabs of dialogue would make sense, even without the subtitles. Immersion method, maybe?

I have really enjoyed watching The Code on ABC Sunday nights. A 6 part series with the last one coming up this week. I think one of the best Australian dramas for a long time.

Is Danish one of the languages that evolved or took words from the Frisian language like English? Frisia and Denmark are the same place.

Bill Bailey claims that Danish is really just mumbled English - so maybe you were starting to understand mumble

(He referred to it in his live show "Qualmpeddler" - it was hilarious!)
