A few things bug me though.

Ok first the decent lawyers of Avery's.
They talk all the time and give the sob story how they feel sorry for the poor kid not getting good legal representation.
I'm sure they got a good chunk off Steven, why couldn't they just do Brendan's as well? as it pretty much directly relates to
their case and they would of done a lot of the work already. Or i'm guessing it's just dollars to them, so that bugged me.

Second his family. I know they aren't the most intelligent bunch but there must be some serious bad blood there if the brother in law and nephew both practically testified against him, and the brother in law said he hopes he gets what he deserves.
Did they not realize that by taking this attitude they are also harming their son and brothers chances?...

    Third was the documentary itself.
How many years did they spend doing this, and with all this footage yet surely you would make some of this public to show what was going on. It's easy to see pictures and listen to those horrible news footage releases saying they are evil and form an opinion based on that. If you see those mug shots of Brendan you might think he's like one of those kids that go on a school shooting rampage, he just has that look. But in truth he seems to be a harmless loveable kid that's just not very intelligent.

Certainly makes you bang your head against the wall thinking about it.
Steve's lawyers probably split the 400k he got from the state and opinions I've seen are that they probably wore a bit of a loss financially representing Steve (certainly could have made more in the nearly 2 year period) and probably went above and beyond visiting his family and everything (again based on shown footage)

May be bad blood with the brother in law or may be thought he was punishing Steve for getting Brendan involved? Lots on unclear motivation there. Of the Avery's though Steve seemed like he may be one of the smartest of the bunch and his IQ was like 70.

Avery lawyers did lose money during that period, but since the Netflix doco, they have been inundated with work.

Honestly, I think Tadych and Bobby Dassey probably did it.

There's no way Brendan Dassey was involved.

          Interesting.

I really wonder why they didn't dig deeper into the family history. There is obviously some bad blood there, and the evidence does seem like it was put in a way to incriminate Steven because whoever did it knew the cops would go straight to him.

We don't really get to know about exactly how well Steve got along with his extended family, given that they live so close to each other.

                Fargo, great so far.
Better Call Saul, handing out for series two coming next week.

Brand new show, 'Billions' with Paul Giamatti & the guy who played 'Brodie' from Homeland and a great ensemble cast. Outstanding so far.

The Venture Bros just began season 6 this week. It started in 2003 and there's been 2 seasons in the last 6 years so it's definitely one you have to wait for

Just started watching Orange is the New Black.
If the first three episodes are anything to go by,looks like a great series.
Thoughts and anyone else watched it?

Brilliant series. Gets better if anything (except for Ruby Rose in season 3)

For those with Foxtel, on Sunday starting from 12.00am all day there are Bulldogs games on. Including the last one at Whitten Oval against Wet Coke.
