And much more, it had me completely entranced and happy to be on the other side of the world!!
Sounds interesting BT and i do like a good doco so i'll put it on my watch list. I did watch an interesting doco last week called Foxcatcher. The story got made into a movie of the same name not long ago with Steve Carell playing John du Pont. Has anyone seen the movie and is it worth watching?

Yep, captivating and it's made by the director of Zero Dark Thirty. The access they achieved is second to none and it's more around all the issues around drugs in Mexico & the US border than simply and only the drugs like doco's and movies only concentrate on. I didn't find it overly depressing, more confronting about the scale of human misery (and very, very graphic images) and the ending quite shocking. It has really made me think a lot about some of the themes in a sense of ethics, as because they've shown all sides it's a very, very grey situation (& Trumps alleged wall will do less than SFA).

I started with the movie first and couldn't get into it. I watched the doco a couple of weeks ago and stuck with it though, it's a really interesting story.

So you wouldn't recommend it? I'm interested in how Carell plays John du Pont. Such an odd person Carell seems like a good pick for the role.

I'm naturally impatient and the movie was a slow build, so it's probably just me. Knowing the story before watching the movie probably helps too, I might give it another go down the track.

Cartel Land looks really good. Thanks for the heads up.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I couldn't really get into it either - I guess I didn't feel much affinity for the sport/theme. But I did think the performances were good.

                  Yeah same, it's pretty good.

I noticed in the ending credits it is based of 'criminal justice' a british show from a few years ago.

From the first four episodes you thought it was fairly straight up and down but now the latest episode has got you thinking if perhaps there is a darker side to Naz. It's very David Fincher'esque which I love.

Yeah that was weird (the movie). The whole way through it I couldn't work out if it was supposed to be a comedy or not. Felt like a Wes Anderson movie and I couldn't take Steve Carrell seriously.

Just like reliving my childhood by watching the goonies or another Spielberg kid buddy movie.

People still raved about it so I watched it again but still didn't get it and gave up after 15 minutes again.

I think it clicked fifth time around.

Death of a Gentleman is a cricket doco made by 2 online cricket reporters detailing the corruption in world cricket and the demise of the Test Match. Very good and available on Netflix.

I've just tried Mad Men for the third time, and finally got into the swing of it. Now I get the hoopla.
