    Nope.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'm right into it as well. They are a tough couple

Still enjoying Justified but so far this series hasn't been as strong as the previous two.

I'd be more than happy to pay a fair price for the shows I like.

Providers need to understand two things:

            1. The readily available illicit market has driven the value of their products down, rightly or wrongly.

            2. I'm only prepared to pay for content that I want to watch. I don't want to pay a flat fee for 68 channels whose only involvement I'll have with them is the frustration I feel at having to sort through them to get to what I want.

Until a new model that refelects the true wants of the consumer, I may or may not be found amongst the oceans.

If you reduced the earnings of the highest paid actor from $75,000,000pa to a figure more comparable to the top earner in other industries, say $750,000pa, you'd be paying 1/100th of what you are now.
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

But that actor would then be less of a hypocrite when they are lobbying against corporate greed because a bank CEO made $75,000,000pa. Wait a second, you might be onto something here.

Yep. This is the new reality for the producers of entertainment. Either they find a way to make it work for them (in TVs instance, why not release their own torrents simultaneously with them airing on screen with ads included?) or they can try and push the worms back into the can. I know what the simpler option is.

I'm not going to pay for a package when I might only watch half a dozen of the channels (sport, music, drama) of the 50-60 on offer. I've got no use for endless replays of movies or sitcoms from he '70s.

That is why Netflix have pioneered the idea of releasing a series all in one hit. Cost of Netflix is $8 per month and there is lots of content, no need to sign up Foxtel if you don't want to.

Only downside is it can be a bit of a wait for some content to reach Netflix, if it gets there at all.

True, but you can also subscribe to Hulu plus, ($8 per month, and has latest shows) and if you buy a Google chromecast ($35 plus postage), you can stream from your computer to TV things like BBCIplayer, ITVPlayer or any of the international free tv, plus any video you want. Apple TV gives you access to US Itunes which has the latest movies for $5 rental, and most are still at cinema here, plus many more TV channels.

                          Overall way cheaper than Foxtel.

That is a lot cheaper than Foxtel. I just got a brand new telly with all the bells and whistles. I haven't actually plugged it yet but according to the guff on the brochure I can plug a laptop into it and watch content from it.

The Pistorious trial. I wish all court was this interesting, this prosecutor is so intelligent, articulate, logical and persuasive (not to mention the use of his glasses to illustrate a reaction to comments). I have respect for all people very good in their field be they sports people, actors, cartoonists whatever or their profession.
