Hmmm I sense you're subtly directing me toward The Wire. OK I'll give it a go and report back.

It took me 3 (maybe it was the fourth) time of watching the first episode before it clicked with me. First I had to get used to the language/slang (po-po, figh-000, Omar is walking, he's walking everyone.)

But when the penny finally dropped, what a show!

Early on I watched it with the sub titles because of the slang used.

The wire is my favourite series of all time, very well written, the only let down was series 5

Just started watching 'The League'. For anyone who has played supercoach or dreamteam this is a must watch. Great show and super funny.

Me and my girlfriend just finished season 2 of the newsroom. Good show, not too serious or dark but with some good political intrigue.

There's a little too much lovey dovey stuff for mine but the other parts are great and they keep the missus happy.

That woman in The Newsroom is the daughter of the guy who played Rumpole Of The Bailey.

Leo Mckern was a fantastic actor. I saw him once in a one man play at the Comedy Theatre and he was just brilliant, loved his voice.

Loved Rumpole of the Bailey. That series was basically the reason I decided to do a law degree. Needless to say real life did not measure up.

Everyone was "My old darling" to Rumpole. Loved the show and his character.

The Flash starts next week. I was a fan of the early 90s series and am collecting the current series in the comics, hope this series can met the expectations its pairing in Arrow has set.

Just watch the freakin wire already...

I'm most of the way through the first season. Enjoying it so far but find the actor playing McNulty's weird mangled American/Northern English accent weird.
