When I was just a kid my parents bought a two bed room house on two acres of land in Castlemaine for $800. Two *!*!*!*!ing acres., it had a mine shaft. We kept sheep, goats, really young bulls for vealing. We spent weekends and school holidays up there. For a couple of years I reckon we spent more time there than we did here.

Digging trenches in a paddock in Kalkallo looking for artefacts as part of planning permit. Been here 3 weeks, no artefacts, cold wind and the site is full of wet clay. At least I'm working...
