Thanks for asking we did enjoy Hawaii, Eastdog.
Stayed in Waikiki for a couple off days, we then broke the trip up with a seven day cruise around the Islands which was very good and finally spent the last five nights back at Waikiki.
Waikiki is very nice but really is just like a larger Noosa and the accommodation was extremely expensive.
Kona was a great little port and the highlight would be hard to choose between, a 'hike and cliff jumps we did in Maui' or the 'Helicopter ride in Kauai over Waimea Canyon and Jurasic Park Falls'.

Sounds like you had a great time. I would definitely love to go there in the future.

Really? I stayed in Waikiki a couple of years ago for just over $100USD a night. Nice enough place, close to all the action, near the beach, just without a decent view. Of course if you want beach front with great views you are going to pay a lot more. Actually heading to Noosa in November and the accommodation is going to cost us way more than anywhere we stayed in the US.

I visited there a couple of years ago, great place, really enjoyed it. Not sure I would be heading back there again anytime soon though, nothing against San Fran, just so many other places in the world to see. Why are you making a return visit Eastdog?

Just going there for a holiday Axe Man. The last time I went overseas was to New York in 2008.

Perhaps I didn't explain myself properly - I mean why are you going back to a place you have visited previously?

I think because we enjoyed last time we went and figured why not go again.

Currently in Venice and enjoying it immensely.
Spent 5 days in Rome which although a little grotty and whacked by the economic problems of Europe was enjoyable.
Had a week in France ( loved Paris, but hate the inhabitants) South of France I actually enjoyed more than Paris.
The Italians as a whole are warm and sincere, but the French are obnoxious and true to form.

So what was the last game before you left? You've already been gone a while.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Watched the Port match and then headed to the airport. Will be back at the end of the month.

Well done on the exam results Eastie.

I'm in the process of planning a quick trip to Singapore and debating whether to head to Malaysia or Thailand for a few nights...done both before but thinking maybe Penang and KL is what I'll decide on.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
