Handscomb won't want to see that dismissal again - really poor. He's tried to cut a ball on a fifth-stump line down through backward point and has knicked off. Wasn't short enough and wasn't wide enough.

We are going to need Matt Short to work his miracles. 3 for 101.

Would love to hear thoughts on this - how slow is too slow? If he had gotten out, the Vics would've been bundled out far more quickly BUT finishing a day on 46 runs with a strike of 17 is putting huge amounts of pressure back onto yourself and the batsman around you.

I'm all for patience, but I think his complete inability to rotate strike or pose any kind of questions to the WA attack after spending 6 hours at the crease is poor.

Overall credit to him for toughing it out but once he was batting with the tail surely the onus is on him to keep the scoreboard ticking over?

Yep - strange. They were out there for 6 overs this morning, he's batting with Murphy and Boland but hasn't added to his overnight score.

Vics all out for 195, WA currently 0/7.

From my perspective good on him for holding his nerve when wickets are falling around him but at some point you have to take charge and say to the tailenders to stick with you and then accelerate your scoring.

Sutherland x2 and Boland x1 drag the Vics back into it with WA now 3/52 after being 0/42. Bancroft gone, now need Cartwright who has been in good form.

                      Cartwright duck

I'm going to try that again - need Naughton to kick 6 tomorrow night!

I hope we can go on with this. 4 for 83. A couple of more wickets might expose a long tail.

Be a good time to get Murphy on. He'll be bouncing with confidence and this is the pivotal wicket.

Turner the big wicket with the rate of scoring at the moment.

Did you see Perry's catch? That was right up there near the elite category.
Dived to his left and caught it in the right hand.

No fluke either, he took an equally good one in the last game too.
