Some ordinary defending at times, but we were being touted as a relegation team at the start of the year, but we’re a mile ahead of that. Plus we’ve had a stingy season to keep out of FFP trouble, so hopefully will be able to spend some cash over the summer.
You gave us a run for our money in midweek. Not a great one for defences. Was a big away win for us.

Neto is going to be popular come the summer window.

        Been pretty consistent all season.
Reading they may not be able to sack him and stay on the right side of ffp.

I think they need to review ffp and maybe adjust it for the now.

You look at the city squad and shake your head that they're punishing teams like Forest and Everton.

          Give city the cup now.

Got everyone back fit. Just insanely good side. Foden with a hat trick atm v the Bees.

Four in a row will be the record.

Yep, probably Cunha and Ait-Nouri too.
            Won’t be cheap though.

Re: English Premier League 2023/2024 Season Thread

A couple of amazing finishes by Bruno gives us a good win away from home, but Jesus we are cooked on the counter. Also lucky not to have gone down on a penalty that should have been given to Forest.

I like how we've gone tall in defence and that it helps us at set pieces, but the slowness in reacting if the trap doesn't look like working is killing us. The middle range and lower teams that have to play a counter attack game against us with lesser skilled but very quick finishers and it kills us at times.

Losing six of the last nine has set us back a lot. I get there's some reasons for it but there doesn't seem to be enough emphasis on fixing the defensive malaise at the expense of being effective up front.

                      Bruno Bruno Bruno Bruno.

                      The Burn debate is interesting.

I get the why. He folds into a back 3 when we have the ball which allows Trippier to play as a wing back and overload that rhs.

Burn is also great for set peices, he clears space and causes havoc in the box.

However he is getting skinned a bit and teams are certainly abusing our right with pace.

I'm ok with keeping it for now, as long as we are winning. Must be playing on Howe and Tindell's minds.

Bruno is better as an 8 than a 6 I think. Tonali comes back hopefully he gets released higher up the pitch.

Great win for us over away from home against Villa 2-1.

Gives us more chance for top 4 beating sides like Villa who have been really good this season although slumping a bit now.

Rasmus and McTominay with the goals.

My most recent Arsenal shirt (I have about ten) has Saka's name on the back.

The shirts I had before that I can remember had Aubameyang, Ozil, Carzola, van Persie Walcott, Arshavan and Henry.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

England have two great RWs coming through in Saka and Palmer.

Ugly win for us this morning, but much needed.
