They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Did Australia score 350-400 in both innings?

Alas I feel this bickering has a lot to do with you not understanding that batting does not equal batsmen.

Yep. Lots of people dont realise there is a difference between being a good 'batter' and being a good 'batsman'

Sorry but I think Ponting has not only made critical and basic errors but he is also too defensive in the field. I think I could do better... Use my C grade hard wicket captaincy experience...

            Re: Ricky Ponting

Pontings batting has been exposed due to the poor performance of Hayden, which has meant Ponting is coming in too early for a third batsman. If the openers get a decent start and take some shine off the ball, then he will also get some runs.

As for his captainancy, he is very conservative and needs to be a bit bolder with his field placings. Maybe he feels he doesn't have the bowlers to warrant a very attacking field?

I 'hate' with a passion the term batter when referring to cricket. It's what you cook fish in as far as I'm concerned!

I think Symonds should be battered.

Nice change of argument to something that wasn't even mentioned. You said SA have been winning with scores of 350-400, thats incorrect.

It's just a word and it serves a handy purpose as a point of differentiation.
