Was a weekday, day 5 with who knows how much cricket to be played and to be honest the majority of the population wouldnt be able to afford a ticket with what are supposedly ridiculous prices for that context.

Johnson had Ojha plumb in the last over but Bowden turned it down, I suppose it evens up for the Sharma decision which was going a fair way down leg.

Yeah but Indian's are usually fanatical about their cricket, 5 or 6 years ago and every day of a Test the stands were packed and jumping, i guess they have all jumped on the 20/20 game and left Test Cricket behind.

Theres not much you can do if you cant afford to get into the ground, the ICC and BCCI are money hungry, pigs of organisations, ticket prices are ridiculous for these regions especially when the main ticket sold is a 5 day pass. Mohali is hardly a major venue anyway, if this game was at Eden Gardens it would have been packed no doubt.

Bowden thought he had gotten some bat on it as the over throws went to the batsman.
          The curse is dead.

It looked like it did hit but the bails didn't come off. What a great finish, I watched from where India needed 24 runs.

            Really we threw this away.

Inside edge, Bowden shook his head pretty quickly as the appeal went up.

I wouldnt mind seeing the replay again, no edge for mine though I cant be too upset as the Sharma decision wasnt great.

Australia now 7/419. Marcus North has just brought up his century. How many tests does this now guarantee him?

                    Until he decides to retire.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

He has certainly had enough opportunities, he had to eek one out eventually...

Good knock from North, shouldn't be in the team though. I dont mind the look of George, he gets a lot of bounce and pace, but he did look nervous and incredibly raw. He needs to be refined but theres a lot to work with.

Marcus North went a long way to guaranteeing the ashes for England today.

Yes but is it right or wrong? He failures have cost Australia test matches.
If the selectors continue to wait long enough for any player out of form to hit form we will have 50yos playing for Australia in the future

                              Re: Australia vs India

India in control here, only hope is a collape in that inexperienced middle order.

By the way, just a name to jot down is Nic Maddison, debuted for NSW today as an 18 year old and hit a great ton, the second 50 came off just 34 balls. This kid will be at the top of Australias order in the next 5 or 6 years, would put the house on it. Hes one of the better junior batsmen to go through the system.
Khawajha also hit a ton and would be in the forefront of the selectors minds.
And Ronnie has gone nuts at the WACA, cracking ton, I wonder if hes good enough to bat at 6 or 7 in the test team? His bowlings more then handy

Khawaja doubled up, 214 off only 294 balls. Hes the next in line for a middle order spot and his development is being risked by not picking him. The guys a gem.

A fair collapse by the Indian lower order have left Australia in with a chance here, try and post a lead of 200 and knock em over on a dieing pitch, easier said then done.
