Nice win(4 goals in the first 25 minutes) for Chelsea 6-1 over QPR. Torres hat-trick and Sam Hutchinson(great story) getting on the pitch late the highlights for me.

Well done RDM 11 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss(in a close one to ManC). Plus we have only been behind for 5 minutes in all those games. Now it seems he has unlocked Torres.

Huge game coming up this week against Newcastle in the race for a top 4 spot.

That Newcatle/Chelsea game will be important. I hope it's a draw.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

That game will probably decide who finishes 4th.

You'd think with Newcastles GD and draw combined we're likely to find it hard to finish 4th.

My tip is we'll wind the season up in 6th.
              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

                Re: 2011-12 EPL Thread

Can't wait for tomorrow morning clash between the red & blue of Manchester. Going to be massive.

Gary Neville writes a terrific article, certainly worth a read: Link

                As it stands:

                Manchester United 83pts, 54GD - to play Man City (a), Swansea (h), Sunderland (a)
                Manchester City: 80pts, 60GD - to play: Man Utd (h), Newcastle (a), QPR (h)

If City win they go top on goal difference, each then having a tricky away game in the North East & home game that should result in 3 points.

If United win, then they only need a point from their remaining 2 games.

If it's a draw, then United will be firm favourites with a 3 point break & only 2 games remaining.

If City are to win the title, you would have to think that a win in the morning is a must.

Harder run in for City with that Newcastle game, could be pivotal.

I can just see it now, 0-0 after 90 minutes & deep into Fergie time Wes Brown scores an own goal or gives away a needless penalty to hand the title to United..

                      Re: 2011-12 EPL Thread

                      Manchester City 1
                      Manchester United 0

Thumping header just on the stroke of half time by Vincent Kompany was enough for Manchester City this morning.

A game of relatively few chances, with a touch line spat between the two managers with 15 minutes remaining. Suggestions were Mancini objected when Fergie sought to bring on Howard Webb!

So, both teams level on points, but City top the table courtesy of an 8 goal better goal difference.

So it will come down to the last week.

Wouldn't it make for an interesting finale if Man U put 6 or 7 past Swansea this weekend.

If Chelsea win the ECL final then it wont matter who finishes fourth-only the top three will qualify. Under the 'Liverpool' rule Chelsea get the right to defend their title even if they dont finish in the EPL qualifying spots. That's why I'm worried that Arsenal might finish fourth.

You blokes would love it if they finished below us but played Champions League anyway. That would be the icing on the cake for Chelsea.

Haven't seen the game but United parked the bus .Tactics Fergie never usually applies.
Advantage City now, although The Geordies will be a difficult game.
