Not much a defense can do is there? Three touches, two of the better goals you're likely to see all year.

So happy we've picked him up, and so happy we've finally had a season to inspire genuine positivity. Now all we need to do is keep him. What are the chances of that do you think, chef?
        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Cisse won't be a problem as there is no way you are going to sell already, he has just signed a 5 year deal. Ba on the other hand has a £7 Million buy out fee if he wants to go, so if you don't make CL he is gone IMO. Tiote is a target for both Chelsea and ManU and I fully expect him to be at one of those 2 clubs next year.

But if you make CL you guys are going to have a bonus to spend on players coming in and we know how good you guys are at spotting cheap talent ATM.

Battersea power station firming as favourite for Chelsea's new home. Would make an amazing Stadium with the iconic four chimneys.

What a cracker of a game between Arsenal and Norwich(3 all), now leaving Gunners exposed to missing a CL spot.

                    City beat Newcastle 2 Nil
Say the title race is over now, well played to City( very gritted teeth)
Personally reckon United did well to get this far with a far inferior squad, and less financed one.
Now if QPR beat city ( as alanis morrisette said, isn't it ironic) Mark Hughes and all.

If Chelsea beat pool in a couple of days it's going to set up a huge last round.

                        Re: 2011-12 EPL Thread

Wigan defeated Blackburn 1-0 this morning, which means Blackburn have been relegated & Wigan are staying up. That now means either Bolton or QPR will also be relegated. Bolton are 2 points adrift of QPR with an inferior goal difference, so will have to beat Stoke away in the final game & hope QPR lose.

West Ham defeated Cardiff 3-0 in the second leg play off to cruise through to the play off final 5-0 on aggregate & will face the winner of the Birmingham v Blackpool clash.

Great to see Wigan stay up.
Nice on the eye and only the final third has put them in relegation trouble.
Rovers fans might get their wish and have Steve Keane Sacked now!!

                            Third, Fourth & Fifth are:

                            3. Arsenal - 66pts, 24GD - to play: Norwich (H), West Brom (A)
                            4. Spurs - 65pts, 23GD - to play: Aston Villa (A), Fulham (H)
                            5. Newcastle - 65 pts - to play: Man City (H), Everton (A)

Of the three, Newcastle have the harder two games, so I think they might finish fifth, a great effort & one their fans would have taken with both hands before the season started.
It's oh so simple for Manchester City, win at home against QPR & they are Champions. In fact all they need do is no worse than Manchester United who are away at Sunderland.

For 3rd & 4th, Arsenal are on 67pts & play West Brom (A), Spurs are on 66pts & play Fulham (H) & Newcastle are on 65 pts & play Everton (A). Remember, 3rd will qualify for the Champions League, 4th will only qualify in Bayern Munich beat Chelsea in this season's final on Saturday week.

We already know Wolves & Blackburn have been relegated & either Bolton or QPR will join them. If QPR win or draw at Manchester City they will stay up, if they lose then Bolton must win at Stoke to stay up.

That was hardly worth getting up early for, had I known we were going to play our B side I would have slept in and watched it later.

Anyway 4-1 Pool over a Chelsea side resting most of their players(8 changes from the FA Cup final team) with an eye towards the CL final.

I didnt think it was a cracker of a game.

Norwich were always going to score again after we went 3-2 up and bloody Ruddy was always going to pull off a series of amazing saves in the time added on. Song not putting that header away might come back to haunt us.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
