Norwich were always going to score again after we went 3-2 up and bloody Ruddy was always going to pull off a series of amazing saves in the time added on. Song not putting that header away might come back to haunt us.
You have West Brom away too. Roy Hodgson's last game at The Hawthorns, not easy. Spurs play at home to Fulham, so if Arsenal lose & Spurs draw they will both be level on 66 points.

Goal difference is close too. If Spurs draw their's remains on 23. Arsenal's is currently 24, so a loss by 1 goal would reduce it to 23, same as Spurs, but Arsenal would finish higher courtesy of scoring more goals. A loss by 2 or more goals in that scenario & it's squeaky bum time for a week.

Newcastle need to win at Everton & hope Arsenal lose & Spurs don't win to leap frog them into 3rd.

Blackpool have progressed through to the play off final after this morning's 2-2 draw against Birmingham at St. Andrews. The Seasidees took in a 1-0 advantage from the first leg.

They play off final is on May 19 & will be between 2 of last seasons relegated teams; West Ham & Blackpool.

QPR need to do us a big favour tonight and unbelievably beat Man City for us (Man U) to win the title. I don't think it will happen.

Half time & it's as you were at the top with both halves of Manchester leading 1-0. A bit of tension at City until that late goal which also impacts on QPR as Bolton struck twice late on to go into the break leading Stoke 2-1. As it stands, Bolton are safe & QPR are down.

Tottenham lead 1-0 & Arsenal are level at West Brom. Advantage Spurs for third place.

Just listening on SEN to the highlights of Man City and QPR for a minute there I thought at 2-2 in stoppage time we had it until obviously City scored to make it 3-2. But it wasn't to be for United and City claim the title. One of the closest EPL finishes.

Everything at stake at the top and bottom ends of the table. There was season on the last day where the 4 teams in the relegation battle were still all a chance to stay up of course only 1 stayed up in the end.

City deserved it and they've got their moment in the sun.
United lost it by losing at home to Blackburn and giving up 2 goal leads at home to Everton twice!! Remarkable finish

                        Re: 2011-12 EPL Thread

Unbelievable drama, most gripping finale' I've ever seen!

City, seemingly throwing the title away, it was like watching a car wreck being witnessed by 40,000 fans who's emotions were so raw you could feel them.

An errant back header by Joleon Lescott was swooped upon my Djibril Cisse & straight after half time it was 1-1.

More drama shortly after when two of the season's human headlines tangled with Joey Barton elbowing Carlos Tevez in the face behind play. One of the assistant referees saw it & the ref brandished the red card. Did Barton go quietly? Did he heck! He then decided to knee a City player & headbut another, just wouldn't go quietly.

So, the team with the best home record playing the team with the worst away record in the league with 10 men.

City were now chasing the game & throwing men forward in search of a winner. Sucker punch time! Against the run of play QPR turn the title race on its head & score. Now that just wasn't in the script.

Now it really meant City had it all to do in the final 30 minutes & the kept attacking, bringing on 2 more strikers, but somehow they just never seemed likely to score, despite their dominance (33 shots on target to 3 & 16 corners to 0, yet they trailed 2-1 after 90 minutes).

In the 93rd minute (5 minutes time added on for all the substitutions & Joey Barton's shameful antics) another corner, this time a decent one & Djeko powers home a thumping header. A glimmer of hope perhaps for the City fans who's emotions by now had got the better of them.

Meanwhile at Sunderland Man Utd had won 1-0 courtesy of Rooney's early header. They had fulfilled their part of the bargain, all they could do now was await the final 2 minutes at Eastlands.

And what drama there was & late drama too, 4 minutes into the 5 added on & everything changed!, Another City foray forward, Aguero running onto a ball in the box, almost being brought down, but managing to keep his feet & lash the ball past the hapless QPR keeper into the back of the net to send the stadium & City fans worldwide into delirium!

In the interim world had filtered through that Bolton had drawn with Stoke so QPR fans joined in the party atmosphere & they were safe.

City winning (well, some might say purchasing) the title after 44 years with virtually the last kick of the season on goal difference from their fiercest rivals & all courtesy of that 6-1 thrashing back in October at Old Trafford.

Almost seems anti climactic now to talk about 3rd. Congratulations to Arsenal after a horror start to the season, but a 3-2 (3 howlers from the West Brom keeper, is he a closet Arsenal fan?) win away to West Brom means they finish 3rd & qualify for the Champions League next season.

Spurs, who finished 4th now how to wait painfully & hope Chelsea lose to Bayern Munich to see whether its Champions League or Europa League for them.

There is no league on earth like it, for those lucky enough to watch last night unfold, its something you'll never forget.

                          Yep, that was phenomenal.

I wish the AFL would take note of how a season should be run.

Bit sad to see Drogba for the last time at the Bridge.

                          Beautiful write TCD.

Great finish to the season, with some incredible drama. Arsenal had a nice win away as well to sow up 3rd.

Thanks for that report of the dramatic last day action in the EPL TCD. As a Man United fan disappointed not to win the title this year but as Remi Moses said that loss to Blackburn at home and dropping points twice to Everton made all the difference in the end and Man City are worthy champions of the EPL. It was an amazing finish because in stoppage time the title still could have gone either way.
