Some of Cole's misses that day defied belief. Missed at least 4 one-on-ones that would have given them the championship.

The Mickey Thomas game was a sensational finish, but to score 2 goals from the 92nd minute is the stuff of wildest imaginations.

Oh well, NUFC didn't manage to take the points on Sunday though I'm consoled by the fact it wouldn't have mattered if we did anyway as far as Champions League qualification was concerned.

Great season by the ****ies (I shan't mention that name on this board), one I couldn't have predicted and one that has warmed my heart knowing players that have left us like Enrique (in particular, after his spiteful departing comments) and Carroll haven't been missed to any extent.

The off-season is going to be horrible to watch as a NUFC follower unfortunately, with players like Cisse and Ba likely to field numerous offers to head elsewhere on large coin, and Ashley and co. willing to take a trade if it helps pull them out of the horrible financial mess they're in. Our replenishment through development talent recently has been OK, so hopefully we're competitive again next year.

Life as a supporter of a Premiership club that can be disturbingly compared to Richmond Tigers only offers the occaisional highlight. Thankfully, this year has been full of them.
        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Newcastle are a bit like Richmond. A sleeping giant with both having lots of supporters.

And now the silly season begins.

Marko Marin first player signed by Chelsea with Hulk and Andre Schurrle rumoured to be next. Looks like we are trying to add some pace out wide which will be nice.

Does anyone think Joey Barton will still be QPR next season? His petulant display could easily have resulted in QPR being relegated. Surely he's had more than enough chances.

What's his contract situation like as I can't see any other EPL sides wanting to touch him ATM.

I watched MOTD last night and I agree that was one incredible finish. The last minute Thomas goal will always live large in my heart because I watched the game with my Liverpool supporting best mate who'd been skiting for most of the last 15 minutes that they'd won the league. I remember Thomas going around the last Liverpool defender and thinking "He's going to score, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

BTW anyone who can get themselves a copy of MOTD from the last round shuld do it. They play the Man U/Sunderland and the Man City/QPR games simultaneously going from one game to the other as events unfold. The best part is watching the blood drain from Fegie's face as he is informed that City have won the game and United have missed out. It's the best sporting highlights package I've ever seen.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

*How foolish was Carlos Tevez? On the parade he held up a banner that said, 'RIP Fergie'.

Irrespective of what people do or don't think about a person, a banner like that is distasteful & the sooner Tevez buggers off back to Argentina the better!

                      * The League Manager Association voted Alan Pardew at Newcastle as their Manager of the Year.

*Some rumours: Aston Villa keen on Roberto Martinez for Wigan (he knocked them back last season) & Paul Lambert at Norwich. Liverpool supposedly keen on the Spaniard too, but then this time of the year it's like trade week x 1000.

12 titles two European cups .
He'd be only glum for a while until the fires are stoked and back into it.
Bit of schadenfreude from fans of other teams( they can comfort themselves in that)

City have now apologised to United over Tevez's actions.

They are going to struggle to sell him with the salary he's on.
