    Re: EPL/UEFA Transfer Rumors/Updates/Announcements

Rather buy blokes for 4 mil and let them score against Man U :-)
Don't understand why teams buy these massive players who will also come with huge egos that comes with the pay packet.
I'm a more into finding players who are triers who want that chance to prove themselves at premier level, they will do the team thing and give it their best shot.
Leicester and Chelsea are polar opposites and it goes to prove a team environment and no huge egos can be the difference.

The tantrums are counter productive to ream ethos I agree but they are invariably the guys who do something special in the big games that win you the titles. That's where the real genius of the manager comes into it-harnessing all those personality types and keep them heading in vaguely the right direction, Anyone can manage a bunch of good blokes who agree with everything you do.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

You also need huge ego's to win stuff. Teams buy massive players becasue they are simply the best players and are usually the ones that win you stuff. Chelsea's shown this season that one huge ego can bring the place down.

I don't see Leicester winning the league and they will be over taken before the end of May.

Apparently Conte is favourite for the Chelsea job and will step down from Italy after the Euros.

Problem is if you buy too many of these big name players you get the problems Chelsea have.
One or two then build around them would be a better outcome IMO.

Cant agree at all. To win the league/UCL cup you need a star studded first 11 and great depth as well, not just us but United and City as well. Its also why Arsenal hasnt won the league in a decade, they dont have that star power and ego/arrogance to be the best.

Our downfall this season was due to a spectacular Jose implosion, not player ego. Guus has almost got confidence back to a decent level.

Arsenal are just a few months away from the league.

I wish you'd stop saying that.

                  God bless and all.

We are the only club that could finish runners up to Leicester with management and board feeling we've fulfilled our target. We are Arsenal. We qualify for Europe.

Bit harsh on Pellegrini, could stay in the EPL though and would be happy enough if we got him.

Bit of a damp squib this window .
Seems the lower half teams did the best business

Your not wrong there, it's probably the first time most teams have some coin and they probably figure the top teams aren't really dominating so there is a big opportunity to climb up. It helps that with the money being thrown around more players want to get into the BPL.

I really wanted Teixeira but at £50 million who do they think he is Chelsea Clinton??

We have too many injuries and are to far down we might as well wait for summer. But we better be making some big moves then I tell ya, which I'm sure we will. Big opportunity lost this season, the league was there for the taking. Will be much harder next season I'm sure.
