I just loved watching Cahill run from contest to contest like a madman trying desperately to keep the ball in attack.

He's kind of reminds me a bit of Brad Johnson. You get used to him doing the hard things well and playing at a high level and helping win games. But every now and then he pulls out something special on a big stage to remind you what a terrific footballer he is. Or was in Johnno's case.

Hit the Comparison with Johnno right on the head. We get used to him doing the hard stuff especially for his size almost to the point of taking him for granted just like Johnno. Then he just does the impossible out of nowhere and amazes us just like Johnno.

Brilliant players of the highest order and just like the Bulldogs the Socceroos will feel it when Timmy hangs them up and up until this Asian Cup I was really concerned with how much of a drop off it was going to be but thankfully it won't be as big a hole to fill as it was for the Bulldogs.

Sorry for keeping it off track I just couldn't resist, love talking Timmy!

That's apparently his buyout(£75m), the bigger problem would be wages with Gareth being on £300k a week. United's the only English club that could satisfy that.

We seem intent on chasing Varane again and with Zouma would set us up at CB for the next decade post Terry(who got another year)

Since when have Madrid, Barcelona or any Spanish club ever had realistic buy out clauses? They have average players on 90m. They would not have a buy out clause that loses them money.

Apparently it's to do the the Euro not being as strong as when he signed the contract.

But in saying that I think he'll be there at least one more season before the fans drive him out.

it hasn't cut in half. This is a Madrid team where Ronaldo has a $1b clause. Even Suarez is still at 150m +

Would love to get Milner.

Sterling really starting to piss me off, he is really good for his age but at an absolute max worth no more than 110k. He has no left foot and easily pushed off the ball and would still struggle to start at a bigger club. I want him to stay because he would flourish behind a good striker but ever since his QPR days he has always been about Money and if it's about CL then we may be better off cashing in and getting a good Striker that isn't made of Glass.

Yea it sucks that would be some talent that has left the last couple, but if he keeps it up he will be lifted out not walking. Fair dinkum doing the interview and the club finds out from a reporter is asking to be thrown out. Chef if he goes I hope it's in London because it will cost two arms and a leg and to be honest Ibe will be better so I won't be too sorry.

Nothing irks me more than a player leaving because he wants to 'wins things' so for now I'm not going to believe that to be true and hope he puts a couple past Arsenal.

I actually think he'll end up at City, they are the team that needs him the most too.

I guess top class players leaving to win stuff regularly is just something the mid rung clubs have to get used to unfortunately, like Suarez, Bale etc. Also shows what a great clubman Gerrard was for you guys.

But in saying that it would be better for him(but not his bank balance) and his development to stay where he is for another couple of seasons though.
