Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread
There are reports that Southampton are on the verge of sacking manager Nigel Adkins. Consecutive promotions to get them into the Premier League, what were they realistically expecting him to do this season, qualify for the Champions League?
Saints executive chairman Nicola Cortese has apparently held talks with former Espanyol boss Mauricio Pochettino.85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Break the curse!Comment

At least give him the chance to avoid relegation. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment

Obviously more to this than just results. Sad to see him go as soton played some good football, but he'll manage again elsewhere.
Such high stakes in terms of $$$ in regards to promotions and relegations that it's always going to be cut throat. The curse is dead.Comment

Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread
What a thoroughly entertaining game at White Hart Lane between Spurs & Manchester United. The game was played in blizzard like conditions with snow prevailing throughout.
The game finished 1-1 which was a fair reflection. Van Persie gave United the lead in the first half & Dempsey equal used with almost the last luck of the game.
Only sour note for me was the Spurs fans who thought it would be fun to throw snowballs at United players.85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Break the curse!Comment

Great game. 1-1 was right score and result. Spurs weren't clinical enough around the goals and Man U didn't create enough good chances.Comment

Disappointing result after leading for all of it
Before the game would have taken a point.
City still have to play there.
Chelsea are very long odds, I'd think.Comment

Our flat spot in November(plus our recent home form) is going to cost us any chance of catching United. But I wouldn't be surprised in we finished 2nd.The curse is dead.Comment
