What did you think when Chelsea sacked Di Matteo and do you think it was appropriate to sack him your club legend at the point you were at in the season?

Hoping that Man Utd continue on with a win at Fulham this weekend and continue to maintain a healthy lead at the top.

There is a good chance now Rafa Benitez won't stay as Chelsea manager until the end of the season as was first said.

            We can only hope.

Once Ba went off it was game over.

And how you don't get a penalty(and a red) for being kicked in the face while standing up and having your nose broken is beyond me. Cisse lucky not to get a red as well.

Sissoko looks a gem too and what a goal from Super Frank(and Mata).

We continue our winning ways with a 1-0 win away to Fulham courtesy of a Wayne Rooney goal. That puts us 10 points clear for now at the top as Man City plays tonight against Liverpool.

Chelsea should have been down to 10 men too with that two footed tackle by Ramirez. I thought it should have been a penalty too to Ba, but no card. He stooped low to head it & a defender has every right to kick the ball without expecting a player's face to be where Ba's was.

Getting very tight now down the bottom with sides like QPR, Reading, Wigan etc... starting to pick up points & eke out results. May well come down to goal difference or goals scored.

Man Utd are home & hosed I reckon. Be funny tonight in the house of Remi Moses!

After the way Wigan rallied late last season I thought they were a fair chance to improve this season given they recruited well but they have again struggled to get enough wins and even enough draws.

TCD, what is your thoughts around if they are likely to avoid relegation again?

I don't think they will survive this season, just about used up their 9 lives.

                      Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread

Great game between Newcastle and Chelsea last night.

Ba's injury looked nasty, unlucky not to get the penalty, but I don't agree this moment changed the game. Ba hadn't done much and Torres offered more, setting up Mata's spectacular goal.

I still cannot understand how they are pushing Lampard out the door. Moronic.

Sissoko played exceptionally well on debut, he has some inspiring attributes and it was a pleasure to watch him last night. They've really found a player here.

Yep it's sad. If he goes and we keep Torres I will be shattered.

But looking at the big picture we have turned over a lot of older players in the last 3 seasons and are building a younger squad, so I can understand.

Torres offered nothing as a CF, while Ba was troubling them playing on the shoulder. I think it changed our shape and the way we play.

Still think it should been a card and a penalty.

Webb didn't have a very good game IMO and he looks pretty close to up right to me.
