    Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread

Bale's easily the best player in the league atm, carrying his team to third now. Interesting to see if Spurs can hang onto him at the end of the year.

I think we need to start the worlds biggest tin rattle to get Gareth Bale to the bulldogs.

His last months form has been sublime, dare I suggest better than Messi?

I think it will be Real Madrid or the Western Bulldogs.

Good to see City have a strong win over Chelsea.

Dominated them, really. Probably should have won by more, but two fantastic strikes by both Yaya and Tevez.

We should have been 2 up before you scored. Still peeved about this game.

Funny how we all see the games differently, as I thought we sat back and defended well and should have hit you on the counter twice. Rafa gambled big time in the last 20 minutes by removing all our defensive mids and replacing them with attacking players, but it backfired with Tevez getting enough space to fire in a cracker and kill the game.

Yep, Mancini says some strange things.

I hope that wasn't directed to me. I agree Remi we are lucky to be this far ahead as the quality of the EPL compared to the rest of the European leagues isn't as good anymore. As I don't catch to many of the games we must be doing lots of things right to be that far ahead and yes other teams have dropped points to make it easier for us.

Not sure how you should have been two up. You were lucky to still be in the game IMO, we had quite a few chances. The penalty save was tremendous by Hart, but it was unlucky to be given a penalty in the first place. Although Chelsea had a patch of their own, it always felt like we'd pull away.

I actually thought Chelsea were pretty disappointing on the night, a few articles I've read suggest the same. Cahill was immense and was the only reason you weren't humiliated

How was it lucky to be a penalty? He took Ba out in a goal scoring position and I thought it was lucky not to be a red. Great save by Hart, I guess that was the 1 in 10 penalties that Lampard misses.

There was the Ramires one when he was running in at Hart but instead of firing the ball into the corner like he has been all season, he tried to take another touch and got to close to the defender.

Not saying that we weren't under the pump, but they should have both been goals(I know you guys had chances too).

I thought we defended well and tried to hit you on the counter as most away sides do at the Etihad(you have lost 1 of your last 40 games). We weren't even close to being humiliated.

You must admit it took two pretty special goals to get past our defence.

I enjoy reading the stuff on 'We ain't got no history', but its just another fans opinion.

I dislike Chelsea immensely and basically couldnt give a rat's arse about Man C.

I thought Chef's assessment of the game as pretty much spot on and it was a nailed on pen. It should have been a straight red card too.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

                              No unless you're Mancini
