We were very lucky to sneak away with the 3 points but I'm still not confident we can get the points required especially with the FA cup semi final distraction.

You will have to just keep on winning and not drop anymore points. Usually 40 points is needed to stay up.

A rough guess of 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses probably leaves us a point behind where we need to be.

Sometimes 39 points can be enough but it will be pushing it a little.

37 points kept QPR up last year. I think this year will be around the same. There are some tough runs home for some of the relegation teams.

Unfortunately my team, QPR, have made it very very difficult for themselves to stay up, however whilst there are points still available there is always hope.

QPR are going to be in a world of pain financially if they go down aren't they?

Certainly are. As a supporter I am really concerned. I heard that they are 89 Million pounds in debt. Ouch. There will be a massive fire sale of players if they go down, however this will not cover all the debt.

The owner, Tony Fernandes (who owns Air Asia) has publicly stated, in the last couple of days that he will stick with the club even if they are relegated. Sure I've heard this before from owners. I just hope we are not another Portsmouth.

I know it is a longshot but whilst there are 24 points left there is still a chance to stay uo. It's not like they have been playing poorly, in fact they should have been 2 to 3 goals up against Villa at HT, but for some awesome keeping by Guzan (?) and a momentarily lapse right on HT that let Villa back into the game and gave them all the momentum heading into the 2nd half. Anyway that is football and in the end Villa played well and QPR had some defensive lapses that lead to their 2nd and 3rd goals.

Having Harry there as well probably isn't a great thing with his track record

Well Wigan have got 2 wins so far but there is still a long way to go. I'm still not confident we can escape relegation again.

                        EPL - Round 31 Results

                        Sunderland 0-1 Man. United

West Ham United 3-1 West Bromwich

                        Arsenal 4-1 Reading

                        Swansea City 1-2 Tottenham

                        Southampton 2-1 Chelsea

                        Wigan 1-0 Norwich City

                        Man. City 4-0 Newcastle

                        Everton 1-0 Stoke City

Title race was over a long time ago and will be champions taking it off Man City

The relegation battle looks interesting. QPR and Reading look like there going down but from 18th and a few places up those teams matches in the next couple of weeks will be very important.

Comfortable for United . Sunderland were dire in the first and ordinary in the second.
Martin O'neil's been turfed! Would give joy to all Villa fans.
Wigan are putting up another great escape, Reading are doomed.
Great result for Southampton( at least for one set of Saints fans)
Tottenham look good for a C/L birth and The Arsenal having an all to familiar late season form burst.

Wigan have QPR next, a win is just about a must. The draw for the balance of the season gets a fair bit tighter after that.

The last game of the season against Villa might tell the story for them

Paolo Di Canio has been appointed head coach of Sunderland.
The 44-year-old Italian, who succeeds Martin O'Neill, has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Wearside club.
Di Canio, who led Swindon Town to promotion from League Two last season but resigned in February, has no top-flight managerial experience.
The Black Cats sacked O'Neill on Saturday after a run of poor results left them only one point above the relegation zone with seven games left.

I liked MON ... I thought he was a Mackem through and through ... Disappointed, but work to done to avoid relegation !!

They were a certainty for relegation under MON IMO. With Di Canio it gives them at least some hope but away trips to Chelsea and Newcastle first up might be tougher than he had hoped.

How funny is Chelsea's next 20 days???
