    Re: South African Tour

There is some danger in giving South Africa too much credit for their chases in Perth, Adelaide then nearly getting the runs in that record attempt against India, hope Clarke isn't scared off and still gives them an aggressive declaration.

I would suggest Doolan starts playing some shots quick smart, 1 off 20 balls really isn't good enough at this stage and is starting to look selfish

Lot of speculation in the commentary box.

I thought we would've sent Watson in. As I type, Doolan plays a great stroke.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Really dont understand why both batsman have throttled back so far, I'd want 450 as quickly as possible and get them back in

Doolan patting a full toss from a spinner back to the bowler. WTF!!??

Partnership is 51 off 125 balls, with 9 wickets in the shed it is simply not good enough.

Surely Duminy should be called for negative bowling here?

Me either. Doolan didn't need to come in, another 50 each from Warner and Watson and we were golden
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Good point on Cricinfo, we will rue that last hour if South Africa finish 8 down tomorrow evening

Will we bat for another 30 or 40 minutes and get the lead to 440?

4 and and half sessions should be enough but I don't think this wicket is that bad. With Smith retiring they have plenty to play for.

If we can't bowl them out in 4 1/2 sessions I don't think the batting has been the problem

I reckon so. Maybe even a lead of 500 might be in Clarke's mind.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Doolan out quickly is probably best for all concerned. Watson promoted to 4, can't understand why it wasn't 3

Runs flowing at a terrific pace. I'd still caution against an early declaration.
This pitch is still playing pretty well.

I think we need to bat for another 15 or 20 minutes and push the lad past 450.

I'm not sure Doolan has answered too many questions about what sort of test career he might have.

I agree. I've liked his preparedness to hang in when we've lost early wickets, but he looks a limited player who only has one speed.
