I had a feeling that Clarke would want to bat South Africa out of the match by setting them a target of 500.

I'd have thought it was more a timing issue. Not sure there's a huge difference once you pass 450.

Keep the South Africans in two minds, give our bowlers a bit longer rest and recovery and then have 40 or so minutes before tea to get a couple of wickets.

I would've liked a declaration perhaps an hour earlier, deck still looks very good for batting. We'll need time to whittle out a few partnerships on this deck, hopefully we have enough.

Didn't see the footage, though I hope he was given a great welcome onto the ground for his last test and a dignified send off.

Johnson bowled a grand total of 13 balls to Smith in the series and got him out 4 times. To call him his bunny is an understatement!
