Re: The World Cup Thread.
Was looking forward to the Belgium v Russia game but it was very underwhelming. For a team that was much hyped, Belgium have been pretty ordinary in both games thus far. They have qualified for the next round and may reach the Quarters but can't see them progressing beyond that. The curse is dead.Comment

Re: The World Cup Thread.
His market value is 30mil and he is having a good cup. The deal definitely has me thinking. The only worry is Madrid's interest in Sterling and obviously the chance of wasting it and being back to square one.Comment

Re: The World Cup Thread.
I guess im a bit sick of him being a rent-a-quote nowadays, i hope this is not what he's going to be like moving forward. He is still a beast (well not for Belgium though).
He's got a fair bit ahead of himself ATM.Last edited by chef; 24-06-2014, 03:05 PM.The curse is dead.Comment

Re: The World Cup Thread.
Predictions of pending doom were off the mark .
Pleasing tournament, but some work to do.
Will be a different type of pressure when hosting next years Asia cup, as we'll be expected to do well.

Re: The World Cup Thread.
Big night tonight. Italy v Uruguay to get the last place in the round of 16 - I wonder if Italy will park the bus and try and hold on for the draw as they have the GD advantage over Uruguay?
Greece on last chance saloon against Ivory Coast as well - not without a chance but will have to develop a better killer instinct in the front 1/3rd"Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment
