Wilkie offer was like 1.3 mil a year (for example), Marra 800k at least, thats 2.1 there plus ability to push money down the raod with long term deals. I think Freijah is the only one who might get a big pay rise. Gotta be 2.5 to 3 million at least to play with.

Yeah I think we have more cash free then we even talk about on here, we threw that ~1.2 at Wilkie and there’s zero chance we did that not allowing for Butters either this year or next (1.7) too, assuming that was allowing for Marras contract dropping off that’s still in the realms of ~2.9. I know it’s not that simple, we’d probably be banking on restructuring other contracts etc if we pulled off both Wilkie & Butters, but either way we are absolutely flushed

Why is there even compensation based on asking for it? If they want that to be the case. Then it should be written so everyone can see assistance packages. And what critearia triggers it. Bont would be worth exactly the same - band 1 - a pick after your natural round 1 pick. It's like the James Frawley (pick 3) and Buddy (pick 19) comparison.

Brisbane must be praying Allen returns to something like the player he was considering how much they must be paying him to trigger band 1 compo.
