This is actually really good on all levels. Maybe steaknives to Port on a fringe player they like too, ie Garcia. But 3 firsts including one well in the top 10, one late and one future unknown looks about right IMO.

Just think Port are going to be stubborn about this and hold him but really they should move him this year before futures are getting into tas drafts

I agree with this. I think Garcia might have to end up in SA or in WA for a pick to make any of this work.
Garica is the one with the most value, and also has the most to lose if Butters arrives.

Melbourne has made it clear that it won't pay on dollar of Christian Petracca's salary, should he move to Gold Coast. He's had some money pushed back, so he's owed $1.4 mil in 2026 then $1.3 mil in each of 27/28/29 + some marketing funds. The Suns would be open to handing him a fifth season if required to smooth the cash a fraction.

They literally all do it . Trade period is really content period behind closed doors and there is no way it should run for more then a few days. 80% of the big moves get done on the last day. I swear it's an AFL deal with the media companies to give them something to talk about for a couple weeks. Regan certainly did his best Power impression.
