I’m not usually this harsh. He’d have to be one of the biggest whipping opponent players I watch. Don’t be fooled by the occasional highlight, he sucks and wouldn’t be an upgrade on what we already have. There’s a reason Suns want him gone, he stank up the finals and is on far too much money
*audible sound of AFEL brass rubbing their collective hands together while wheezing "ehhhhxcellent"*
The lead up to trade week started two days before round one when the first episode of GETTABLE was released on AFL.com.au. Its just a shame the pesky football got in the way for a few months.

Humphrey on the other hand, if Pies and Hawks are enquiring, why not us?
That's how I read it but it was West best season and a more average one from Ainsworth
Metres gained isn't necessarily a great measure but when you average it out over their careers Ainsworth has a clear edge on West.
Almost any forward in the AFL would have a clear edge on West if you average it out over their careers. West never saw himself as a forward and worked damn hard on his game to become this version of himself.
You could argue that West's 2nd best season is better than anything Ainsworth has ever put up. The 2025 season for West was miles clear.
Why’s it matter how he compares with West? Hes not taking his spot. I like Ainsworth hes a huge upgrade on McNeil & VDM. More of a half forward than deep fwd like West.
We have to ensure neither of those guys play a game next year because let’s be honest here they ****ing suck. Guys like Ainsworth improve the bottom of the 22 which is absolutely necessary
The modern game is built on half forwards, who get up and down the ground. Ours are terrible. Would definitely have a crack at Ainsworth but depends on the price, he’s no world beater. Sounds like GC are pushing him out to make cap space as he’s on a decent contract, so we’ll take him for a late pick
Flanders has nominated St.Kilda who have offered pick 7.
Ross Lyon is now the acting head of the football department and TBH I think he's going to leave them in the same position as when he went to Freo. I get it's not the strongest draft but...

The Saints are really shaking up the market wit their power plays. Their supporters are so excited.
Between that and the likes of Mitchell publicly approaching players during the season we are going to see a very different approach by all clubs in chasing and acquiring players going forward.

I've only seen him play in a couple of state league games and after a few years at GWS he hasn't played a senior game yet.
He's also been used mainly as a tall forward. Is that where we would seeing him play for us?
If so, he kicked just 1 goal for his VFL season.
He does take a lot of marks though.
