Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion

I wrote in another thread that I'd be taking a look at Preuss. Big, athletic, gets involved at ground level - I reckon he's the kind of undervalued ruck that could flourish with game time.

      Preuss' thought process:

1/. I am going to be a backup at North and they are paying me $200k
2/. I am going to be a backup at Melbourne and they want to pay me $400k

"Excuse me - Mr Agent - I wanna be traded to Melbourne"
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion

        "He's Our Player"

Dew offering precisely nothing on the likelihood of keeping Steven May - now, nor in a year's time - apart from wishful thinking.

"Dew said Gold Coast was keen to know as soon as possible what May intended to do beyond 2019 but understood why the player would take his time on a decision.

"We've said 'we know you're out of contract at the end of next year, we'd just love to know as soon as possible where you see your career after that'," Dew said.

"We want to know 'are you here for the long haul? What's your view?"

This doesn't smell like a bloke who's staying, and in light of the strange Adams saga I'd love us to be aggressive here.

He'd give us a highly competent anchor down back with a bit of bastard about him too, something we lack - and might even have another gear if surrounded with better quality.

Agree RS. It's highly unlikely GCS will be able to hang onto him, the language already sounds like their chances are cooked.
          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

He’ll end up at Collingwood or Hawthorn.
I will never see #16 the same!!

If/when Lynch and May leave, imagine Bont & Macrae leaving us. About the same.

GC have no chance of surviving.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

The Suns should be all over Wallis, Dahl and Libba.

Geelong are apparently circling Jack Steven:

They will survive because the AFL want them to

He's be better off coming to us for 600. He might be a chance at a premiership, and nobody needs a second house .

Maybe TD can give him one

Great. That's not going to make a finals or finals bound team even stronger. I hope they get him.

It's going to cost them pick 1 too
