Tragic for him. Heart and soul player. But he is fringe at best so should not hurt them that much.

Sad to hear he has always been the go to player when they had a spot to fill .

I don't recall him having done an ACL previously?

So now there is potentially a backup ruck opening at Carlton, Lewis Young might have to dust off his shin guards.

Yeah but it is death by 1,000 cuts.

He is exactly the sort of player you need fit for an entire season.

News is Weiterings calf injury is more serious than first thought also...
More of an In Bruges guy?

Not too many 5 week ACLs unless your name is Tony Liberatore.

Weitering not expected to play until about round 4 apparently.

Those two will hurt them , they haven’t got a lot of depth ATM.

Silvagni is a player that may not be a star but they're mister consistent and can be thrown about the team and they'll slot in. Sadly most people won't realise how much their absence hurts the team until they're gone.

I rate him mainly due to his versatility. I don't know that I feel much sorrow for the Blues but definitely I feel some for Jack.

I like Jack too. Sad for him. He gives his all and is quite tenacious. Perhaps because of his all round ground, plug and play abilities I think he is underrated. I?ve thought we should make a play for him as our Duryea replacement. Hope he can make a successful return.

How could they fail him like that?

                              Horrible luck

BRISBANE recruit Tom Doedee has suffered a heartbreaking injury setback just days before he was set to make his Lions debut, with the defender suffering a partial tear of his ACL at training on Tuesday.

Doedee was set to make his comeback from an ACL injury on Thursday night but re-injured his knee during an innocuous incident in the final minutes of training on Tuesday.

The full extent of the injury won't be known until he meets with a surgeon this week, but the Lions have labelled the setback "extremely cruel".

I feel for him. That was the buyers beware risk Adelaide and any other club faced though. A big dollar contract with a guy with several ACLs already. It’s a harsh game.
