Interesting - Sven Botman the Newcastle centre back tried the same thing. Now they've just sent him off for surgery after playing for a couple of months and he will be out for nearly a year.

It depends on how big the partial tear is - if you can put the requisite strength work into your quad and VMO muscle (the ball muscle just above the knee), sometimes full reconstructive surgery can be avoided.
I would recommend Doedee speaks to his knee surgeon and club doctor first rather than take the word of someone who has a tertiary qualification in marketing.
