Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022

    No chance I reckon

Robertson is a decent prospect but on this market is going for a pick in the 20s. maybe worth a bit more than Lobb.

A straight swap of Robertson for Lobb would be to Freo's liking, pick 15 thrown in would be outrageous.

Plus they need all their picks to give to Melbourne.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

If that First and their future First is tied up with Jackson, then they're out of first rounders. That's probably the main sticking point.

From Jon Ralph - this is how you do it stupid Brisbane.

Suns just keep stockpiling future picks. St Kilda's future fourth, Adelaide's future third and future fourth. Will get Cats future third for Bowes, maybe a future second for Sharp. Bumper academy crop including Jed Walter next year

              Mega trade done.

Amongst the rubble, Roos are losing 2x #1 picks for picks 2, 3 and a future 1st - I can't believe they didn't convert either of them in to an experienced player, or just more picks. It seems unders IMO.

But west coast giving up pick 2 and junior Rioli for 8 and 12 is even more confounding.

They must not rate the high end of the draft? (WCE)

They want two local boys and are now positioned to get them.

Brisbane are the big winners in this, there is no way GWS big on Ashcroft.

That makes it less confounding, for sure.

How about North? I feel they've massively undersold some big bargaining chips. Piling JHF and #1 pick into one trade has lessened their returns IMO.

They get a disgruntled player away from the club but now miss out on a genuine KPP. They upside is they didn't have a lot of currency but have some now. Could they make a play for Lobb?

North would be crazy to bring in an almost 30 year old.

Huge. Slipping just to pick 2 saves them nearly 400 draft points = Pick 42 in points.

                              Huge.

Why won’t they bid on Ashcroft? Not like Brisbane won’t match.
